James P. Weiner, M.D.
|
James P. Weiner, M.D. is an honors graduate of Guilford College in
Greensboro, North Carolina, where he received the Dana Scholar Award
for Academic Achievement. He received his medical degree from Eastern
Virginia Medical School, in Norfolk, Virginia. Dr. Weiner did an obstetrics-gynecology
internship at Naval Hospital in Portsmouth, Virginia. His residency
in physical medicine and rehabilitation was performed at Eastern Virginia
Medical School.
His fellowship training in anesthesia was done at both Naval Hospital
and Bowman-Gray Medical Center at Wake Forrest University in North
Carolina.
Dr. Weiner is a military veteran and received several U.S. Navy
medals and a Presidential Citation. He also saw combat and received
a medal for his actions in Beirut, Lebanon.
Dr. Weiner is Board Certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology
and is Board-Eligible in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.
Currently, Dr. Weiner is Medical Director of Physical Medicine
and Rehabilitation/Anesthesiology at Southwest Florida Rehabilitation
and Pain Management, The Sypert Institute in Fort Myers, Florida.
He is a member of the American Association of Electrodiagnostic
Medicine, the American Association of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation,
the American Society of Anesthesiology, the Florida Medical Society,
the Florida Society of Anesthesiology, the International Association
for the Study of Pain and the International Spinal Injection Society.

Peter S. Schreiber, D.O.
|
Peter S. Schreiber, D.O. has a bachelors in microbiology from the
University of Florida in Gainesville. He earned his medical degree
at the College of Osteopathic Medicine at Nova Southeastern University
in Davie, Florida.
He is residency trained in internal medicine, and physical medicine
and rehabilitation. Dr. Schreiber's residency training was at Case
Western Reserve University/MetroHealth Medical Center in Cleveland,
Ohio. He joined Southwest Florida Rehabilitation and Pain Management
in 2000.
Dr. Schreiber is Board Certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.
He is a member of the American Medical Association, the American
Osteopathic Association and the American Academy of Physical Medicine
and Rehabilitation.
Dr. Schreiber has written several articles and research publications,
and has made presentations on the effect and treatment of strokes
and spinal cord injuries.

Keith S. Susko, M.D.
|
|
Keith S. Susko, M.D. graduated from the University of Arizona College
of Engineering at which he had an emphasis in biomedical engineering.
He earned his medical degree and did his medical internship at Eastern
Virginia Medical School, in Norfolk, Virginia. He also served his
residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation at Eastern Virginia
Medical School where he was chief resident.
While in Virginia, Dr. Susko founded the medical school's
Habitat for Humanity student volunteer group. He organized workdays
for volunteer labor as well as assisted in the building/construction
process of homes for the needy.
Dr. Susko is Board Eligible by the American Board of Physical Medicine
and Rehabilitation. He is a member of the American Academy of Physical
Medicine & Rehabilitation, the Association of Academic Physiatrists,
the American Academy of Pain Management, the American Medical Association
and the American Academy of Electrodiagnostic Medicine.
Dr. Susko has developed numerous presentations and lectures concerning
myofascial trigger point evaluations, osteoporosis, electromyography,
cerebral palsy and low back pain.

Robert D. Mehrberg, M.D. |
|
Robert D. Mehrberg, M.D. is a graduate of Tulane University in New
Orleans, from which he received both his bachelors degree in biology
and his medical degree. While at Tulane, he was a member of Phi
Beta Kappa Honor Society and the recipient of the Dean's Honor Scholarship.
Following medical school, he served his internship at Eastern Virginia
Medical School in Norfolk, Virginia, where he also performed his
residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, ultimately becoming
Chief Resident.
Dr. Mehrberg, following his training, became a member of the faculty
at Eastern Virginia Medical School where he served as medical director
for several Norfolk-area rehabilitation and advanced care facilities
treating numerous conditions including stroke, brain injury, spinal
cord injury and musculoskeletal injuries. He was also Director of
Electrodiagnostic Medicine for the department.
He eventually was named residency program director in the Department
of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Eastern Virginia Medical
School in charge of instructing medical residents on all aspects
of physical medicine and rehabilitation. For his efforts, he was
selected Academic Teacher of the Year for his department.
A board certified Physiatrist, he is certified in Physical Medicine
and Rehabilitation as well as Electrodiagnostic Medicine. Dr. Mehrberg
is a member of the American Association of Electrodiagnostic Medicine,
the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, and
the Association of Academic Physiatrists.
Throughout his medical career, Dr. Mehrberg has lectured, written
or co-authored numerous articles, abstracts, presentations and publications
concerned with the treatment and well-being of rehabilitation patients.
