Celebrate Years Of Employee Service

FORT MYERS--Southwest Florida Neurosurgical Associates and Southwest Florida Rehab & Pain Management Associates (www.swfna.com) recently took time out from caring for our area’s injured and sick to honor and recognize many of their employees for years of service to the practice and their patients. These practices have been working together for the past 30 years providing comprehensive spinal care, both non-surgical and surgical to patients in Lee and Charlotte counties.

The practices held a special tribute ceremony at the FineMark Bank corporate headquarters building in Riverwalk Medical Center in late May. With locations in Fort Myers, Cape Coral and Punta Gorda, the medical practices have many employees who have found a stable home in our area’s growing medical industry.

According to Bob O’Grady, the practice’s Chief Executive Officer, the doctors value their employees’ service and attitude of helping patients who often are in pain and discomfort.

“Our doctors cater to patients who have problems with their head, neck or spine,” he explains. “This means patients generally are not feeling their best when we see them and it takes a special type of person to deal with this day in and day out. Thankfully we have so many of our people who are great at what they do.”

The following is a listing of those employees who were honored in each category:

  • 25 employees who have been there 5-9 years
  • 9 employees who have been there 10-14 years
  • 3 employees who have been there 15-19 years
  • 2 employees who have been there 20-24 years
  • 1 employee who has been there 25 years.

“When you have a place where close to 80% of us have been serving here for more than five years, that is as strong a recognition there is that we offer a great place to work,” says Douglas Savage, M.D. “I know our work can often be stressful, but it’s gratifying to know we can count on our employees to play an active role in making things easier for both our patients and our medical staff.”
