WESLEY H. FAUNCE III, M.D.

Wesley H. Faunce, III, M.D. is a graduate of the University of Connecticut where he excelled in athletic competition. Heading south, he received his Ph.D. from the University of Florida’s Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, where he also completed his postdoctoral fellowship research.

Continuing at Florida, Dr. Faunce earned his medical degree at the College of Medicine and was awarded a Medical Student Research Fellowship. He did his medical internship at the university’s Department of Surgery and his residency training at the Department of Neurosurgery.

While at the University of Florida, Dr. Faunce was active in a variety of medically-related endeavors, including serving as Resident Delegate to the Council of State Neurosurgical Societies. Dr. Faunce also served as president of the University of Florida’s AMA Medical Student Section and was a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. His activities and excellence earned Dr. Faunce the Lyerly Neurosurgery Award.

Currently, Dr. Faunce is a member of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons, the Congress of Neurological Surgeons, the American Medical Association and the Florida Medical Association.

Dr. Faunce has been involved in a variety of medical research studies and is an accomplished author or co-author of numerous studies, publications and presentations.
